Collet 'Nose' Extension, Drill Rod Test!
| Although we ran a truth test on the outside of the new 'nose' piece - had not tested with drill rod in a collet. This would seem to be the acid test so - quick check doing just that. Note - dial indicator used is metric .... .01mm per graduation (2.54 graduations per thou) - so we see just under one graduation of pointer movement, suggesting any run-out is no more than about 0.0004". That'll work for me! :) |
