"Groz" 3 Position Drill Press Vise, Review
| The GROZ UG 100-3 (made in India) - cost $70 US - is certainly very fair value. Machining quality, fit and finish appear very good and the jaw design is most versatile, with nicely machined "V" grooves for round stock holding, and top rebates giving the effect of parallels being in. Tolerances seem pretty tight and there was no slop in the movable jaw. Max capacity is close to 4". Apart from conventional use, it can be turned on its side as well as on end. The selection of holes and slots are adequate for securing either direct to the table or, into a T-slot base. Adequate for light milling work. |
