This was on an advantageous Harbor Freight coupon so - just under $100, which seemed fair value. Decided to try it out so what you see is 'warts and all' - very messy first tries but shouldn't take long to get the hang of speeds and feeds - in a welding sense. Ideal tool for thinner steels - should manage up to 3/16" or so full power instead of using the Lincoln stick buzz box. Experienced or professional welders will cringe - fair warning! End of the video mentions briefly a possible project for later - building a compact power hacksaw and, having found an old motor that will do, just need to get materials list put together. Apologies for rather poor sharpness sometimes. |
