Ball Turner MKll - Boring Head Version, Part One
| Well, the 'conventional' ball turner we recently made as an experiment wasn't overly successful - too many limitations in many respects. So - now we go off at a different angle and make one utilizing a boring head on a long arbor/shaft, which runs through a 1" square bar mounted in the tool post. Leaving aside the cutting efficiency with the current tool bit (yet to be determined), we can at least have a good range of radius choice. |
