Rediscovered this device and thought I'd just show it in use etc. Made in Taiwan (for a change!), and just realized it is available from Sears and Amazon for about $30 -- not overly expensive for a useful tool. Punches and dies cover 3/32" to 9/32" in 1/32" steps and it suits up to 14G mild steel. Thin sheet metal is always a pain to drill and having the means to punch out a clean hole is very handy - the limitation is 2" in from material's edge, but still useful. |
