Post Chuck Clean-Up - Test
| Didn't manage this with drill rod immediately after chuck clean-up and reassembly, so - decided to see how it runs with that. The jaws have some definite wear and this is seen sometimes when chucking and re-chucking the same piece - seeing a slight variation in run-out between jaw tightenings. The mean best value comes out at about a thou or perhaps a little under - not too bad for an aged chuck but best to use DTI for accuracy check or - 4 jaw best otherwise. |
