Having previously tried awkward machining in the lathe for a small 'V' groove, and then a purely file approach -- decided to try out using a disk cutter first to get a pre-depth, and then as before using a square file to achieve the actual 'V'. It does save some time, although in this brief mere example, more work is needed in the center area - and it could be cut a bit deeper yet to increase width. Seems a viable approach if patient and no mill. |
