Lathe Rear Spindle Spider. Part Two
| Making a custom spider for the rear of the Raglan lathe spindle. Not the most straightforward project for several reasons (including Bozo moment!) - but in the end a reasonable success, if allowing concessions for errors and compromise etc! Part One is a rather prolonged amount of prepping lathe work - Part Two is milling machine drilling and fitting etc. It became apparent that it would have gone better had we kept the spider collar a bit larger diameter - the clarity of hindsight!! |
