The "Straddler" Knurling Tool, in Use
| We have chosen to call this the "Straddler" knurling tool and here are trying to demonstrate it in use - something similar can be bought ready-made. Had one section in the video where exposure went silly and some camera angles are a bit difficult - more practice needed probably, but hopefully it helps explain the tool's usefulness! An aggressive start would have formed the possible heavy pattern but this shows my general approach. (Finishing chamfer was unequal due to 'making do' with tooling already in the 4 way tool post.)
