This was kept extremely simple (bit of a ''cheat'!), with minimal machining. We machined a small piece of bar to a bevel to allow the display to mount angled upwards for easier reading. That was fixed to the tail stock with double sided tape, and the display to that, also with tape. The display slider was shortened and an aluminum motion transfer piece made for the quill, into which a neodymium magnet was mounted. |
